The Signature Jeffery Davis 02 Medium mallets produce a warm, versatile and slightly jazzy sound, particularly well suited to musicians seeking a balance between warmth, precision and legibility on the vibraphone.
Their supple, progressive and versatile attack retains a fine definition of each note, with a full, natural and singing projection. The tone remains balanced and expressive, offering a wide dynamic range in many playing contexts.
The pronounced weight of the head brings depth, stability and projection, while reinforcing the fundamental. The feel is pleasant, dense and well balanced, allowing excellent control in delicate dynamics as well as in more sustained passages.
Available with rattan or wooden handles. For vibraphone we recommend rattan: more flexible and more comfortable, it also allows the instrument's sound to develop more fully, without the colouration or vibrations characteristic of wooden handles.
