Xylophone Mallets Classic – Very Soft
The Classic Very Soft X07 mallets produce a warm, round and dark sound, with soft, muffled definition. Designed for xylophone, they are also very well suited to multi-percussion and can be used on marimba.
Their soft, round attack encourages supple, enveloping playing, while the projection remains light and controlled. This model is notably widely used on marimba for certain works by Steve Reich, when a warm, unaggressive sound is required.
Available with wooden or rattan handles. For xylophone we particularly recommend rattan: its flexibility gives a more natural rebound and allows the instrument to develop its sound fully.
As mallets with wooden handles are made to order, this configuration can be neither returned nor exchanged.
