Dedicated to Bruno Gasparac for his love of irregular metres, this 7/8 piece has bars that divide into quavers as 2 + 2 + 3. The phrasing and swing of the piece depend on the player's ability to make that division tell. Ruffs, drags and Swiss army triplets stretch and adapt to fit this unconventional metre. Downloadable sheet music. Set piece for the CFBF Prix Fédéral for marching drum and the FSCF Grand Prix National. The dynamics keep contrast and drive alive throughout the piece.
A single player is enough, though nothing prevents several players performing it in unison.
