Décalages rythmiques, by Guillaume Guégan: studies for percussion ensemble.
The collection presents a single piece in three versions, from the end of the first cycle through to the third. All three versions are built on the phasing of a rhythmic cell: marimba 1 and the claves shift by a crotchet or a quaver with each new cell, while the other two parts keep the same rhythm. Halfway through, while the claves and guiro hold steady, marimbas 1 and 2 share a solo on the F major pentatonic scale.
