Groovin' Night
Groovin' Night, after Franz Xaver Gruber: an arrangement for percussion ensemble, published in the Hits in Percussion series.
Arranged by Ralf Probst. The title is a play on words: Gruber wrote Silent Night, and Ralf Probst gives it a Latin reworking here, with guiro, congas, bongos and cowbell. A way to freshen up a Christmas programme without straying from the expected repertoire. Four players are enough, since the Latin percussion and drum kit are all optional, and the two marimba parts fit on one instrument. Published in 2025.
