15 pièces faciles pour tambour is a repertoire piece for marching drum, by Emmanuel JAY. From the series Tambour du XXIe siècle. Pour débuter is a first-cycle collection that gathers, at varying levels, the technical challenges involved in learning the marching drum. Step by step, the player becomes familiar with the notation and the sticking, and with the symbols to know and master: repeats, dynamics, accents and so on. The tempo markings are given as a guide and may be adjusted. These fifteen pieces work through the challenges of learning the drum while staying faithful to the traditional technique of the French school. Four duets are spread through the book, to brighten up auditions and concerts. These pieces are on the syllabus of the national first-cycle competitions.
Written for a single player, it can also be practised by several players in unison.
