Maracas Beaters
The Maracas beaters were developed to create an original tone colour on many instruments: timpani, toms, drum kit and multi-percussion. This model was developed in collaboration with Franck Agulhon.
Used as a maracas beater, it combines the impact on the drumhead with the movement of the elements contained in the head, creating a lively attack and an instantly recognisable sound texture. This type of effect has its place in the 20th-century orchestral repertoire, as in Leonard Bernstein, but also in contemporary writing and multi-percussion.
Developed by Resta-Jay, the head is made from a biodegradable material whose response is close to that of wood. It is covered with a stretch fabric that softens the contact and broadens the range of tone colours available.
The maple handle brings strength, precision and control.
