Les bâtons dans tous leurs états | PEYRE R.
Les bâtons dans tous leurs états, by Rolland PEYRE: a method book for marching drum.
Appearing exactly twenty years after the first book, this is not a sequel but a new approach developed over the years with ever younger pupils. Les Bâtons dans tous leurs états is driven by one aim: to build the foundations of a solid technique with the sticks so dear to Father Mersenne. In three parts. From the first, there is a clear and deliberate intent: to work on control of the main stickings, from the crotchet down to its smallest subdivisions, without ever breaking the thread. An unusual approach, born of fifty years' experience by Rolland Peyre, a devoted player and outstanding teacher of the marching drum. Learning to read music. An introduction to the traditional repertoire.
Written for a single player, it can also be practised by several players in unison.
