The Signature Marie-Ange Petit "Baroque" timpani mallets were developed for the historical repertoire and for playing on animal-skin heads. They offer a very clear, precise attack with a controlled volume, particularly suited to the balance of the classical and baroque orchestra.
The wooden head gives clean, clear articulation while keeping the projection contained. This model is particularly suited to the late eighteenth-century repertoire and to works requiring precision, lightness and respect for period tone colours.
The head and handle are made entirely of wood, for a direct, authentic response.
