Timpani Mallets BAROQUE - Leather

The Baroque leather-head timpani mallets were developed for the historical repertoire and playing on animal skin heads. They offer a bright, precise attack with controlled volume, particularly suited to the late 18th-century repertoire.
The leather is applied directly to the head to soften the attack slightly and bring a rounder, more natural tonal colour characteristic of this style of playing, while retaining clean articulation.
Two handles are available to choose from:
- Bamboo: flexible and light to medium in weight, traditionally valued for its comfort, natural rebound and sound development. Livelier under the hand, but also more fragile.
- Maple: rigid, medium in weight and sturdy, for a more direct feel and great playing stability.
