The Signature Gert François "ORCHESTRA 01F02" timpani mallets were developed for orchestral playing and the professional repertoire. They offer a very dark, deep and enveloping sound, particularly suited to passages seeking density, mystery and depth within the orchestral ensemble.
The 32 mm premium French flannel head gives a soft, muffled attack while retaining a fine sonic presence. This model is particularly suited to repertoire such as Wagner's The Flying Dutchman.
The bamboo handle, flexible and light, encourages a natural rebound and great finesse of playing. Its diameter of approx. 11 mm, combined with the grip, ensures a comfortable and precise hold.
