From the series Tambour du XXIe siècle. The piece sets out to show off a concept built on chaining together units five semiquavers long. These units take the form of the four variations offered here: Swiss army triplets, sextuplets, rolls and drags.
Designed for one player, it also lends itself to unison playing, in class as in recital.
